Rambling Mary: Colchester, Essex, United Kingdom; I started this blog while I was a student at the University of Essex pursuing an MA in Wild Writing, a course which explores the connections between literature, science and nature. These posts track my journey there and beyond. They describe my experiences, pose questions, share thoughts, and wander off on tangents, all in an effort to try to advance the issues we're considering, document the process of mental digestion, and challenge me to write (critically, creatively and casually). They are a sketch of the metabolic process of learning. Each post is a work in progress, a stepping stone, on the path to developing a comprehensive understanding of this type of literature and where it fits in the world.
